8-week Back to Basics: Body Awareness Program


Are you curious about the Pilates Method?

Or have you been doing Pilates for a while, loving it but just going with the flow?

No matter where you are in your movement journey, this invitation is for you.

For women of all levels and abilities.... listen up!

We're winding things down and going back to basics.

We're slowing down.

As we move into the mellow winter months here in the southern hemisphere, or maybe you're preparing to unwind and refresh in the northern hemisphere, join me on this 8-week program as we move with intention to become more body aware through the Pilates Method.

Through a tailored mat program, every week, we will focus on one aspect of the fundamentals of the Pilates Method and what it means for us in our body.

Our aim is to move with intention. To know our strengths. To realise where we might need more work. To become more body aware. To lay solid foundation for progress, and come out of this program comfortable in knowing why we do the exercises we do.

The weekly sessions are being delivered every Monday, Friday and Sunday. Choose a day that suits you to attend live, or pick any day and you'll have access to the recording to follow at your own pace. The intake for this program is now CLOSED. What we will cover

Each week will be a themed session delivered online via Zoom on 3 separate days. Pick a slot that suits you and join the session live from the comfort of your home, or pace yourself in your own time by watching the recording later. Each weekly session will be recorded.

Week 1: all about breathing with intention, incorporating dhikr.

Week 2: core engagement and centering. What is the core exactly?

Week 3: the three Pilates principles of concentration, control and precision. Why are these important?

Week 4: spinal mobility.

Week 5: hip mobility.

Week 6: neck and shoulder mobility.

Week 7: balance and flow.

Week 8: strength and load.
